The Academic Technology team is here to partner with you, supporting your teaching goals through a variety of trainings and workshops designed to help you make the most of Canvas. While the offerings below are hosted by individual campuses, all faculty across the NU System are welcome to participate, giving you the flexibility to join the learning opportunities that best fit your interests and schedule.
Academic Technology trainings focus on Canvas and a wide variety of integrated tools used in teaching. Additional in-person and virtual trainings will be added here for Summer 2026 and Fall 2026, so be sure to check back often.

UNMC offers flexible, self-paced learning opportunities to help faculty build confidence and skill in using Canvas.
Faculty can self‑enroll in UNMC Canvas 101, a self-directed course designed to help both new and experienced users become familiar with key Canvas tools and features through short, easy-to-follow tutorials.

For those looking to further enhance their teaching with educational technology, the Faculty Tech Bootcamp provides a blended learning experience that includes synchronous sessions and extended asynchronous activities. Participants can also earn a digital badge—an example of how UNMC is using Parchment digital badging to inspire innovative ways for faculty to recognize learning in their own courses.
