As of March 2026, Faculty should see four semesters of previous semester content (Fall 2024, Spring 2025, Summer 2025, Fall 2025).
ITS asks that faculty not copy their Spring or Summer 2026 courses. These courses will be automatically transferred as part of our bulk process, which occurs approximately two weeks after each semester ends and grades have been submitted.
If you log into Canvas and do not see the past courses you would like to have available in the new instance, you have several options:
- Use the Canvas Utilities tool to copy previous courses into the new Canvas instance.
- Submit a request to the ITS Canvas support team if you’d prefer our assistance.
- Connect with one of our experts if you’re unsure which approach is best—we’re happy to walk through the options with you.
