REQUIRED CANVAS UPDATES FOR ALL STUDENTS
Follow these 3 easy steps to be ready for your Fall semester.
1. BOOKMARK CANVAS.NEBRASKA.EDU
Use the new URL to access Canvas this fall.
How to in Chrome: *Instructions vary by browser
- Open your web browser.
- Go to canvas.nebraska.edu and log in.
- Click the star icon in your address bar to bookmark.
- Name it “Canvas - Nebraska” and save.
2. UPDATE YOUR CANVAS APP
Make sure your app is connected to the new instance.
How to:
- Open the Canvas Student app.
- Tap the Menu (three bars) in the top left.
- Tap “Change User” or “Log Out.”
- Search for “University of Nebraska.”
- Log in with NU Credentials.
You’re all set! Your app is set up in the new Canvas instance.
3. UPDATE YOUR NOTIFICATIONS
Choose how and when you want to receive updates.
How to:
- Go to canvas.nebraska.edu and click the ‘Log In’ button.
- Click the Account icon (circle) in the left menu.
- Select “Notifications.”
- Set your notification preferences.
- Click “Save.” Stay in the loop in the way that works best for you!
