The Academic Technologies team supports the following core technology services for Canvas and the many integrations that support our faculty and students. Below are the featured Canvas integrations available to all NU campuses.

Although the tools shown here have been reviewed and approved for integration with Canvas, this does not guarantee that they are currently funded or available to all academic departments across NU. Many tools used in Canvas today are licensed by a single academic department on one NU campus for a specific use-case and expansion would require additional costs be covered by the requesting campus/unit.
To request an existing tool or to have a new tool approved, please submit a request to ITS.
New tool requests go through a critical approval process before they are integrated with Canvas including, but not limited to, analysis from ITS Academic Technologies, ITS Security, ITS Accessibility, and UNMC/Nebraska Medicine Cybersecurity (as needed).
NU ITS aims to make this review process as efficient and effective as possible; however, it is also a high priority that we conduct a review process in order to effectively manage risk for all users in the Canvas ecosystem.
Some low-risk tools may qualify for expedited approval, while others may require additional review and follow up. In particular, anything that may be related to or reference patient health information (PHI) will have important extra steps in the review process. Depending on the complexity and risk of the requested tool being requested, the full review process may take several months, although some tools requested will move through this process much faster.
