Associate Vice President and Director of Budget and Financial Administration
Carol Kirchner, a Certified Public Accountant, has been the Associate Vice President for Business and Finance since November of 2018. Her current areas of responsibility include ITS Finance and Administration, the NU Travel Office and the NU Supply Chain Council.
Carol started her career with the University of Nebraska at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, where she spent nearly 20 years holding several positions including Controller, Director of Accounting and Business Systems and Internal Audit Manager. Prior to joining Central Administration, she spent 4 ½ years at the University of Nebraska at Omaha serving as the Associate Vice Chancellor For Business and Finance.
Carol earned her MBA at the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 1999 and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln in 1991.
