Veronica “Roni” Miller is a rising senior, majoring in Spanish and political science, with a minor in national security studies. Roni graduated high school from Crete, Nebraska with her family now residing in Nashville, Tennessee. She has been involved in ASUN Student Government since her freshman year and has most recently served as a senator and the Campus Life and Safety committee chair before taking on the role of Student Regent and ASUN President. Roni has a passion for improving mental health resources and focuses on preventative measures and outreach, such as the Green Bandana Project, and generating support for more dispersed mental health resources, such as resources within residence halls. She was part of the team that secured a $93,000 grant from Women Investing in Nebraska to boost the Counselor-in-Residence program. She is a co-chair for the student policy committee on the Chancellor’s Campus-wide Collaborative on Sexual Misconduct, a member of the JED Alcohol and Other Drug Council, and a member of Chi Omega. She has previously served as a well-being coach for the Office of Big Red Resilience and Well-Being and a peer mentor and ambassador for the Honors Program. Roni is a Regents Scholar, an Intelligence Community Scholar, and a member of Mortar Board.
