The Board of Regents is pleased to present a KUDOS award to Steve Geiken, business manager in Facilities Management and Planning at the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
As Business Manager Steve reports to the Assistant Vice Chancellor and Director of Facilities Management & Planning and is responsible for managing all budgetary, purchasing and accounting transactions of the Facilities Management & Planning operations, including purchased utilities. In addition, Steve oversees the Facilities IT and human resources operations.

Praised by his nominator, Michael Skocz, for being an excellent employee, Steve works as long as it takes and does whatever is required or requested to complete a task.
Michael said he is a dedicated manager that “is pleasant to work with. He is friendly, jovial, and he truly cares for UNO and his employees.” And, he is the best manager Michael has had the honor to work for.
“Steve can change gears from one task to another so effortlessly that it can only be described as awe-inspiring,” says Michael.
Steve’s guests today are his wife Kim and John Amend, Assistant Vice Chancellor and Director of Facilities Management & Planning at UNO.
