The University of Nebraska High School (UNHS) is able to further extend its reach by now offering University of California (UC) A-G approved courses. Recently, UNHS has gained a 3-year approval for 50+ online courses. This means UNHS is now able to serve California high schools and students through college prep online high school courses.
California high schools require online courses to be approved by the UC A-G system. University of Nebraska High School has been approved by UC A-G to offer more than 50 of its courses to California residents. Attaining UC A-G approval has increased California enrollments by 117% this fall.
UNHS is currently offering more than 50 UC A-G approved courses in 8 subject areas. The University of California evaluates courses based on academic rigor, involving substantial reading, writing, problems and laboratory work (as appropriate). Courses are also assessed based on attention to analytical thinking, factual content and developing students' oral and listening skills.
