“The strategic implementation of digital education throughout our curriculum provides opportunities to serve the state of Nebraska and attracts students throughout the world to NU.” – Mary Niemiec, Associate Vice President for Digital Education, Director of University of Nebraska Online.
The University of Nebraska uses distance learning in order to increase access and facilitate student success. Distance learning provides flexibility for the busy lives of students who may have families, already are established in a career setting or have other obstacles to attending a program on campus. Digital education as a collaborative strategy across the University of Nebraska create more opportunity to reach more resident and non-resident students. NU’s strong enrollment growth in online programs over the past five years is a testament to faculty commitment to meeting student needs.
