University of Nebraska Online promotes more than 125 online programs from the University of Nebraska’s four campuses.
Programs that have recently been added to the NU Online website include:
Public Relations and Social Media, Graduate Certificate
The graduate certificate in Public Relations and Social Media is designed for those wanting to enhance their understanding of the current practices of new communication platforms. Knowledge gained from the graduate certificate helps students advance their career, provide value to their workplace and keep up on current and changing technology in the professional environment.
German Language Teaching, Graduate Certificate
The graduate certificate in German Language Teaching is ideal for German teachers in K-12 schools, as well as those in higher education. This online graduate certificate integrates research-informed approaches into language classroom practice. Students gain expertise in content, pedagogy and technology in this program through courses taught in German and developed using the technology, pedagogy and content knowledge (TPACK) theoretical framework.
Social Work, Bachelor of Science
The Bachelor of Science in Social Work equips students with the skills to help make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals, families, organizations and communities across society. Graduates of this program will help meet the workforce demands in human service areas including medical and public health, mental health and substance abuse, family and school services, geriatrics and other areas within their communities.
Social Work, Minor
A 24-credit hour minor in social work is available to complement the coursework of various majors. It is especially beneficial for students pursuing degrees in sociology, psychology, family studies, criminal justice, political science and public administration.
