University of Nebraska Online promotes more than 125 online programs from the University of Nebraska’s four campuses. Recently, eight new programs have been added to the NU Online website.
History, Bachelor of Arts
The online Bachelor of Arts in History provides a working knowledge of people, events, ideas and values from a historical perspective as a means to understand both past and contemporary societies.Students in this program will be equipped to pursue careers in public history, law, education or business.
Government, Graduate Certificate
The online graduate certificate in government is designed for educators and other professionals who already have an advanced degree in another field and wish to expand their knowledge in political science.

Intelligence and National Security, Graduate Certificate
This program is designed to meet the need for an in-depth and critical analysis of US foreign policy and national security by graduate students, active duty military and civilian professionals working in the fields of public service, national security, defense policy and intelligence analysis. This graduate program prepares students for their responsibility as active citizens through leadership, participation and employment in intelligence, military and foreign relations careers.
Bachelor of Multidisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Cybersecurity
With technology evolving at an exponential rate, cybersecurity is important now more than ever. The cybersecurity concentration equips students with skills necessary to analyze, design and construct secure information systems and focuses on foundational principals, work examples, theories and research reading.
Tribal Management and Emergency Services, Undergraduate Certificate
This program is designed for students interested in working with Native Nations. This undergraduate certificate prepares students to assist Native communities to plan for, respond to and recover from man-made and natural disasters and emergencies.
Emergency Management, Bachelor of Science
The Emergency Management, BS online program gives students an understanding of inter-agency cooperation, coordination, communication, procedures, labor relations and financial matters. Students will be prepared for employment in different sectors including public and private as well as a knowledge on how to conduct emergency services and administration.
Public Health, MPH Health Services Administration & Policy, Health Promotion and Epidemiology
The public health master’s program has added 3 new concentrations, including Health Services Administration & Policy, Health Promotion and Epidemiology. Other concentrations include Environmental and Occupational Health and Biostatistics.
- Public Health, MPH (Health Services Administration & Policy)
The Public Health Administration and Policy concentration is for students looking to broaden their training in public health administration, health policy and related fields. It prepares students for an administrative or managerial role with an emphasis on planning, budgeting, program evaluation and policy development.
- Public Health, MPH (Health Promotion)
The Health Promotion concentration cultivates leaders who are creative, critical thinkers with the knowledge and skills to address evolving public health challenges. The concentration prepares students for interventions with clients, determining a community’s health needs, promoting healthy lifestyles and carrying out health surveys.
- Public Health, MPH (Epidemiology)
The Epidemiology concentration provides students with the tools needed to conceptualize a public health problem, design an epidemiological study, collect and analyze data and interpret and report the results of a study.
