Warren Lauritzen serves as interim Director of Engineering for Facilities, Planning and Capital Programs for the University of Nebraska system. He has a long-standing background in plumbing, heating, refrigeration systems, control systems and electrical systems with over 42 years’ experience at the University. He held the position of campus control systems engineer for 16 years before joining the FPCP Engineering group in 2012 and holds a Certified Energy Manager certification with the Association of Energy Engineers. Warren oversees a staff of engineers, draftsmen, and project managers. Overseeing the campus design standards is also part of Warren’s responsibilities. Along with supervisory duties, Warren manages several renovation and construction projects. Warren attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and has attained journeyman status in plumbing, refrigeration, and controls thru Southeast Community College. Warren is a life-long Nebraskan, growing up in the Southeast part of the state. Warren and his wife Valerie have three children, their spouses, and three grandchildren. Warren and Valerie enjoy travelling the USA with two small dogs in their RV.
