NU Board of Regents to meet Jan. 25
The University of Nebraska Board of Regents will meet Friday, Jan. 25, 2019, at Varner Hall, 3835 Holdrege St. in Lincoln. Committee meetings begin at 8:30 a.m. and the Board meeting begins at 10:15 a.m. All meetings are open to the public and will be audio-streamed live at www.nebraska.edu.

Academic Affairs Committee
8:30 a.m.: Meeting the Medical Education and Training Needs of Rural Nebraskans
Presenters: Dr. Bradley Britigan, dean of the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Medicine; and Dr. Paul Paulman, professor of family medicine at UNMC
9 a.m.: Closing the Broadband Access Gap for Rural Nebraskans
Presenters: Dr. Connie Reimers-Hild, interim director of the Rural Futures Institute; Charlotte Narjes, coordinator of special projects in University of Nebraska-Lincoln agricultural economics; and Connie Hancock, consultant in the UNL Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources Office of the Vice President and Vice Chancellor

Items for the Board’s consideration include:
- Creation of a Master of Science in IT innovation at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. (Addendum X-A-1)
- Creation of the School of Accounting in UNO’s College of Business Administration. (Addendum (X-A-2)
- An agreement between LinPepCo Partnership and UNL granting the exclusive license to pouring and vending rights on the UNL campus for 10 years. (Addendum X-B-2)
- A budget increase for the Mabel Lee Hall project at UNL. (Addendum X-B-3)
