The University of Nebraska Board of Regents will make a campus visit to the University of Nebraska at Omaha on Thursday, Sept. 21, 2017. The Board will hear a variety of presentations on topics including enrollment and student affairs, research, UNO's master plan, athletics and the ongoing chancellor transition effort.
The full itinerary for Thursday's campus visit is as follows. All presentations will take place in Room 302 of Mammel Hall.
9:15 a.m.: Welcome
Presenter: Chancellor Jeffrey P. Gold, M.D.
9:45 a.m.: UNO Enrollment Overview
Presenters: Dan Shipp, vice chancellor for student affairs and enrollment management; Omar Correa, associate vice chancellor for enrollment management; and Deborah Smith-Howell, associate vice chancellor for academic affairs and dean of graduate studies
10:10 a.m.: Co-curricular Learning and UNO's Student Service and Leadership Collaborative
Presenters: Kristina Cammarano, interim assistant vice chancellor for student affairs; Harnoor Singh, civic and social responsibility program coordinator; and Casey Jones, student and program manager for international service
10:35 a.m.: Break
10:45 a.m.: The Development of 3D Printed Prostheses and Anatomical Models for Children
Presenters: Jorge Zuniga, assistant professor of biomechanics, and James Pierce, biomechanics graduate student
11:10 a.m.: UNO Facilities Master Plan Overview
Presenter: John Amend, assistant vice chancellor for facilities management and planning
11:35 a.m.: UNO Athletics
Presenters: Trev Alberts, vice chancellor for athletic leadership and management; Jason Mims, men's soccer coach; and Noor Hamadi, UNO student-athlete in soccer
