University of Nebraska President Hank Bounds will visit Fremont and Blair on Monday, Dec. 14, to engage with community leaders, share the university's story and discuss opportunities for continued success in serving the state.
Bounds will be joined for the day by NU Regent Jim Pillen, whose district includes the two communities.
Bounds and Pillen will begin the day at 8:30 a.m. with a community coffee at First National Bank in Fremont, 152 E. 6th St. Bounds will provide a university update and engage in a dialogue with community members.
Bounds and Pillen later will attend the Blair Kiwanis Club's meeting at noon at Fernando's Café and Cantina, 1600 Washington St., where Bounds will make remarks.
Members of the media are welcome at both events.
