University of Nebraska Board of Regents to make campus visit to UNO

The University of Nebraska Board of Regents will make a campus visit to the University of Nebraska at Omaha on Friday, Oct. 23, 2015. The Board will tour several parts of campus and hear presentations on leading academic and research programs, UNO’s strategies for growing enrollment and completion rates, and athletics, among other initiatives. The full itinerary for Friday’s campus visit is as follows:

  • 9 a.m.: Peter Kiewit Institute, Room 250

Topic: Opening Remarks

Presenter: Chancellor John Christensen

Topic: Ensuring Institutional Quality and Student Success

Presenters: Jill Russell, assistant to the senior vice chancellor for accreditation & special projects; Candice Batton, assistant vice chancellor for academic and student affairs; and Hank Robinson, director of the Office of Institutional Effectiveness

Topic: Enrollment Management/Growth/Completion

Presenters: Dan Shipp, vice chancellor for student affairs and enrollment management; Omar Correa, associate vice chancellor for enrollment management; and John Bartle, dean of the College of Public Affairs and Community Service

Topic: National Defense/Cyber Research/Terrorism/NATO

Presenters: UNO faculty & graduate students organized by Scott Snyder, associate vice chancellor for research
