University of Nebraska Board of Regents to make campus visit to UNL

The University of Nebraska Board of Regents will make a campus visit to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln on Thursday, Oct. 30, 2014.

The Board will tour several facilities and hear about various education and research efforts happening on campus, among other presentations.

The full itinerary for Thursday’s campus visit is as follows:

  • 9:15 a.m.: College of Engineering
    Location: Nebraska Hall
    Presenter: Tim Wei, dean, UNL College of Engineering
  • 10:15 a.m.: Growing Needs and Implications for the College of Education & Human Sciences
    Location: Henzlik Hall/Mabel Lee Hall
    Presenters: Marjorie Kostelnik, dean, UNL College of Education & Human Sciences, and John Ingram, associate athletic director for capital planning and construction
  • 11 a.m.: The Future Vision of Textron
    Location: Whittier Research Center
    Presenter: Bill Nunez, associate to the chancellor
  • Whittier Research Center Tour
    Presenters: Prem Paul, vice chancellor for research and economic development, and Mike Zeleny, assistant vice chancellor for research
  • Noon: Why Honors? (tour, lunch with honors students, and presentation)
    Location: Neihardt Residence Hall
    Presenters: Patrice Berger, director, UNL Honors Program, and Sue Gildersleeve, director of housing administration
  • 1:45 p.m.: Brace Hall Tour of Classroom Renovations
    Location: Brace Hall
    Presenter: Lance Perez, associate vice chancellor and dean of graduate studies
  • 2:30 p.m.: East Campus Enhancements
    Location: East Campus Student Union Dining Room
    Presenters: Ronnie Green, vice president and vice chancellor for the Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources, and Sue Gildersleeve, director of housing administration
  • 3 p.m.: Campus visit concludes
