NU Board of Regents to Meet June 7

The University of Nebraska Board of Regents will meet Friday, June 7, 2013, at Varner Hall, 3835 Holdrege St. in Lincoln. Committee meetings begin at 8 a.m. and the Board meeting begins at 12:30 p.m. All meetings are open to the public. Meetings also will be audio-streamed live at

The Board will be asked to approve:

  • Creation of a Juridical Sciences Doctor in Space Law (JSD-SL) in the University of Nebraska-Lincoln College of Law. (Addendum IX-A-3)
  • Creation of a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial technology applied science in the College of Business and Technology at the University of Nebraska at Kearney. (Addendum IX-A-4)
  • The 2013-14 operating budget and tuition rates for the University of Nebraska and Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture. (Addendums IX-B-3 and IX-B-4)
  • The namings of the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center, the CL Werner Cancer Hospital, the Suzanne and Walter Scott Cancer Research Tower, the Gail and Mike Yanney Conference Center and the Lozier Center for Pharmacy Sciences and Education and Center for Drug Discovery at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
