3rd UNMC chancellor finalist to visit campus July 8-10

The third finalist for the chancellor’s position at the University of Nebraska Medical Center – Dr. Robert Califf, vice chancellor for clinical research and director of the Duke Translational Medicine Institute at the Duke University Medical Center in Durham, N.C. – will visit UNMC July 8-10, the University of Nebraska announced today.

Califf will give a public presentation at 4 p.m. on July 9 in Room 1002 of the Durham Research Center at UNMC. Members of the university community, other stakeholders and members of the public are welcome to attend to hear him discuss his vision for UNMC.

Califf is the final candidate to visit UNMC. The first finalist, Dr. Fred Meyers, executive associate dean of the School of Medicine at the University of California, Davis, visited UNMC June 3-5. The second finalist, Dr. Daniel Wilson, vice president for health affairs and dean of medicine at the University of Florida Health Science Center in Jacksonville, visited June 19-21.
