University of Nebraska, USSTRATCOM, congressional leaders to announce major research initiative
University of Nebraska President James B. Milliken and other leaders of the University of Nebraska will be joined by representatives of the United States Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) and members of Nebraska’s congressional delegation – Sen. Ben Nelson, Rep. Jeff Fortenberry and Rep. Lee Terry – Thursday morning to announce a major university-wide research initiative focused on defense and national security
The announcement will take place at 9:30 a.m. in the first-floor commons area located between the Durham Research Center and Durham Research Center II buildings at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. The buildings are located on Durham Research Plaza on the far west end of campus between Emile Street and Dewey Avenue. Enter the Durham Research Center II building; the commons area is just to the right. (Note: Be sure to go to the Durham Research Centers, not the Durham Outpatient Center.)
Members of the media are welcome to park along the curb in front of the Durham Research Centers. Other visitors may park in the patient/visitor parking structure on the northeast corner of Emile Street and Durham Research Plaza.
