Angelia M. Turner Counselor Financial Aid Office UNO
Angelia’s responsibilities include counseling students and parents on the financial-aid process, explaining the criteria for student work-study eligibility, developing student aid packages, and certifying loan applications. She provides outstanding service to students, providing advice and guidance to help them navigate the complexities of financial aid programs.
Angelia sees her role as helping students realize their dream of pursuing a college education, and achieving their ultimate goal, a degree from UNO. She is a UNO graduate and a former work-study student, so she has genuine empathy for the students she helps.
Prior to joining the UNO staff, she worked at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and at Creighton University, where she developed an interest in the financial aid process.
Off the job, Angelia assists with her children’s participation in sports, and she performs liturgical/interpretive dance throughout the Omaha community.
