Vicki Miller, Research Communications Coordinator in the Office of Research at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln, has been a leader in promoting UNL research throughout her 21-year career at the University.

Vicki was a research communicator for IANR in 1988. In her 18 years at IANR, Vicki developed a comprehensive knowledge of research and gained the respect of faculty and administrators. She wrote and edited Research Nebraska, the widely-read Agricultural Research Division’s magazine, wrote news releases, and created impact information highlighting the benefits of research. She also managed staff and mentored student writers.
Vicki joined the Office of Research in 2006 and quickly became a productive and valued colleague. Her duties range from overseeing print publications and Web sites to writing stories on cutting-edge science and publicizing important grants. She also works with federal agencies, reporters and other constituents. Vicki led design and production of Research News, the new online newsletter for UNL’s research faculty and staff. It recently won a gold award from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education.
Vicki’s vision, energy, team spirit and communications expertise, make her an invaluable asset to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Congratulations and thank you, Vicki, for your exceptional work ethic and important contributions.
