An Omaha native, Dave has worked at UNO for the last four years. He is the “computer go-to-guy” for UNO’s College of Public Affairs and Community Service, where he’s responsible for installing new computers, the repair of old computers and trouble-shooting computer problems. He also maintains and oversees the computer lab in the CPACs Building and computers for UNO programs on the UNL campus, at Offutt Air Force base and at Omaha’s William Brennan Institute – a total of at least 300 computers.
He enjoys the challenge of trouble-shooting. Dave also spends his “spare” time taking classes in UNO’s College of Information, Science and Technology. In a nomination for the Employee of the Month award, one nominator said of Dave, “David is one of those people you feel comfortable approaching as you pass in the hall and saying, ‘Dave, I have a problem with my computer, what do you think?’ He will always take the time to answer your questions and lend his expertise.” Another nominator said, “Unlike other places I have worked, I can always count on Dave to follow through with any outstanding issues. He is polite, respectful and pleasant to be around. He is a great team player!”
