The University of Nebraska Online Worldwide website promotes the 108 NU online programs offered to a wide array of prospective students. By pulling together the collective strength in online offerings offered by the four campuses on one centralized website, NU has a larger national virtual footprint and provides a diverse portfolio of options so students can find the NU program they want.
Programs which have recently been added to the NUOW website are:
Nursing, RN to BSN (UNMC)
This online program is offered in response to the persistent shortage of nurses and increasing demand for more highly credentialed nurses. Coursework is centered on evidence-based practice and research, population-centered care, leadership and healthcare systems and policies.
Special Education, Behavioral Specialist, Graduate Certificate (UNL)
Increasing numbers of students today are presenting more severe, challenging behaviors and mental health problems. This graduate certificate equips teachers, counselors and others to proactively and positively intervene at a high level with these students. Students may also meet eligibility requirements for the Behavior Intervention Specialist endorsement from the Nebraska Department of Education.
Special Education, Sensory Disabilities, Graduate Certificate (UNL)
Offering coursework about unique programs and services, collaboration with families and specialized instructional methods, students of this online certificate program will gain a deeper understanding of how to effectively work with and support students with unique sensory learning needs.
Accounting, Criminal Justice and Industrial Safety, Minors (UNK)
Minors allow students to customize their program of study within NU’s online undergraduate offerings. Students diversify their skill-set and gain additional career or academic pathways by completing a major in one area and minor in a complementary or divergent field. These minors add to a growing list of online minors available to view on the NUOW website.
