Since 2011 I have traveled five times to South Africa, including two graduate student travel-study trips. I have met with South African faculty at the University of Pretoria [UP], University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN), Stellenbosch University, and University of Cape Town (UCT)—and have ongoing collaborations with faculty at three. I have helped rate South African scholars for the NRF (South Africa’s national research foundation), and been an external reader on a UKZN dissertation.
