My department sponsors a yearly medical mission trip to provide surgical care in regional Rwanda. We also collaborate with local stakeholders on research projects of mutual interests including but not limited to sepsis care in low-resource environments. We also have coordinated and sponsored educational experiences for medical students to work with Rwandan medical students and are currently working on a clinical elective for medical students in the future.
