My main interest is the Middle East but some North African countries are also among my interests, particularly in my teaching. I have been teaching about North African countries in my Middle East classes since 2011. In terms of research, my engagement so far was limited to Egypt. I am now conducting a research project that looks at the relationship between religion and development in Egypt.
