1. I travel extensively by canoe, motorcycle, and 4 wheel drive in the equatorial region of the Democratic Republic of Congo, conducting participant observation and archival research on sociocultural dynamics of religious communities. 2. Work with an American non-profit (Education Congo) on scholarship support and capacity building with a Congolese university in Kinshasa, the national capital. 3. Develop and support local, sustainable socio-economic development projects (e.g., transport, palm oil production, education), in collaboration with a Protestant Christian church, particularly in remote forest communities.
