Tom Wawrzynkiewic Refrigeration control technician Maintenance and Operations Department UNO
Tom has provided first-rate service to UNO ever since he joined the staff in 1987. He has built a reputation for his expertise and his professionalism.
Tom says he enjoys the variety of tasks his job entails, explaining that he can be working on an office water cooler one minute and be called to fix a 2,000-ton chiller the next. His work also takes him to virtually every department on the campus, and he says he enjoys working with different people.
Tom also says that he believes maintenance and operations staff members are well respected on the campus. People are confident that, when they call, the staff will promptly come to their aid. Like other members of the staff, Tom regularly attends seminars and training sessions to stay current on the latest technology and repair methods - as well as to improve his supervisory skills.
