Sandra J. Larsen Child Care Assistant Child Development Center UNMC
Sandy has worked in the Child Development Center since it opened in 1991. Actually, she began working there a few weeks before the Center officially opened, assisting in setting up all the rooms decorating, and arranging supplies for the more than 100 infants and children who would be cared for there.
There is perhaps no greater challenge facing working parents today that dealing with the issue of safe, high-quality child care. Employees at UNMC are extremely fortunate to have the Child Development Center on campus and to have people like Sandy there to care for their children.
Sandy is exactly the type of person you would want to take care of your child. She is extremely kind and gentle, with a reassuring demeanor. She has stimulating artwork on display to catch the eye of a rapidly growing baby. And, most importantly, she provides a safe and loving environment that is also a lot of fun.
