The Board of Regents is pleased to present a KUDOS award to John Rejda, Workstation Specialist II at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
John provides customer support to faculty and staff in the College of Pharmacy and School of Allied Health Professions. He has seen the College through numerous technical changes and upgrades. His colleagues say he possesses the ability to fix anything that can go wrong with computers. As the son of Ed Rejda, the former director of UNMC’s ITS Department, John learned about computers from a young age. He said, “I received a kick start one day when my father had an associate home from work. He didn’t show me too much, but it really got me glued to these blasted machines!”
That initial interest stuck, and now John considers computers both a hobby and a job. He is an essential player in the smooth operation of the College of Pharmacy, and brings a calm, considerate energy to the office every day. John is joined today by his father, Ed Rejda , his son, Lando; Yvette Holly, assistant vice chancellor for UNMC ITS; and Rod Lugert, associate director of UNMC ITS operations and customer support services.
John, thank you for your continued commitment to the university.
