Library Media ProgramLibrary Media Program
The program, which provides coursework to more than 300 students, is part of the College of Education. One of only 48 American Library Association accredited programs in the United States, UNO’s program stretches beyond Nebraska’s borders to Wyoming, South Dakota, western Iowa, northwest Missouri and northern Kansas. Under the direction of Dr. Rebecca Pasco, this program provides certificates, undergraduate degrees and graduate degrees for students who will staff school and non-school libraries.
The Library Media Program serves as a catalyst for advancing the quality of libraries in Nebraska and beyond. The sustained growth in enrollment and the quality of the program, as indicated by the unconditional satisfaction of the students and their employers, is a testament to the strength of the program and to the dedication of Dr. Pasco and her staff of adjunct faculty.
