Gayle Roberts Promotions Specialist Criss Library UNO
The Board of Regents is pleased today to present a KUDOS award to Gayle Roberts, Promotions Specialist for Criss Library at the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
Co-workers say Gayle’s vision and enthusiasm populate every department of the library – and that she tackles her job with a can-do-it attitude and a glowing smile.
They write: “Gayle provides a strong model of customer service and support, supervising student workers and actively contributing to the development of the library by offering creative ideas, a positive attitude and true teamwork spirit. She is dedicated to ensuring users are made aware of all the library has to offer through a variety of promotional venues.”
Gayle has been at Criss for more than five years now, and is at her post by 6:30 a.m. most days. Her tasks are wide and vast: Verifying the electronic signage system, updating and creating new book displays, sorting through book jackets, working at the information desk, planning events, and working on library and campus promotions – including the recent dedication of Criss Library.
The dedication was the biggest project Gayle has ever worked on at UNO – and she said it was a privilege to help plan and coordinate.
“I loved having the library brimming with people,” she said. “To be given the opportunity to promote our library was an honor.”
Today Gayle has brought her co-worker, Karen Hein, Director of Library Operations with Criss. Please join me in congratulating Gayle Roberts for receiving a KUDOS Award.
