"CJ has worked here for many years and knows every aspect of the
job," one nominator wrote. "He is able to use his knowledge of
equipment repair to get jobs done in a timely and efficient manner.”
CJ works with a staff of 18 and completes a variety of tasks each day.
Co‐workers can find CJ out and about working on or overseeing sign
installation and maintenance, landscape installation and repair, shrub
planting, and a variety of painting and carpentry work. He most enjoys
tasks involving Bobcat operation. Although he enjoys being outside,
Brown found the winter of 2009, which had some of the worst weather
of the past several years, a big challenge. "CJ stepped up to work the
record amount of snowfall Omaha received during the month of
December 2009", one co‐worker said. "The bitter cold temperatures did
not stop CJ from getting the job done of coordinating the entire team in
the snow removal process. He worked many nights, weekends and
holidays to oversee the removal of mountains of snow."
