Administrative Support Associate in the 4‐H Youth Development Program, UNL
The Board of Regents is pleased to present a Kudos award to
Peggy Jeffries, Administrative Support Associate in the 4‐H Youth
Development Program at the University of Nebraska‐Lincoln.
Peggy’s responsibilities include providing support to 4‐H and State
Fair accounts; assisting with budget development and policy
interpretation; scheduling and coordinating 4‐H events for the
State Fair including facility and technical needs; coordinating
registration for 4‐H Big Red Camps and Horse Show and the
screening process for volunteers; acting as liaison between event
personnel and departments; compiling and analyzing incoming
data from 4‐H Plus and Fair Plus reporting software; and
forwarding data to the national organization. She annually
oversees the State Fair entry system for more than 10,000 entries
and 4,000 youth participants. She monitors the data of the 4‐H
enrollment system, which enrolls more than 140,000 youth
As part of her role with the State Fair, Peggy has been
instrumental in the transition to new data management systems.
She works with more than 100 superintendents to make sure each
division of the Fair is successful. She is the front door to the State
Fair for 4‐H’ers and their families.
Peggy is accompanied today by her guests: Gene Jeffries, her
