University of Nebraska Online and University of Nebraska Information Technology Services are pleased to announce the call for proposals is open for the NU Amplify 2021: Innovations in Pedagogy and IT symposium is taking place digitally, May 11, 2021.
This year’s theme is “Amplify 2021.” We are seeking dynamic presentations on how teaching and learning in higher education persevered during a time of uncertainty and focus on how we will evolve and amplify what we learned to meet new needs and continued high quality service to students.
We seek to highlight best practices, stories of success, lessons learned and solutions to university-wide topics within a variety of session topics.
Session topics include:
- Leadership: Proactive Leadership in Challenging Times
- Women in IT: Working in a Pandemic
- Learning Digitally: When the World Goes Online
- Diversity, Equity and Inclusion: Inclusion in Practice
This year, speakers are invited to submit proposals for two session types: workshops and speed sessions.
Workshops are 50-minute interactive sessions designed to explore topics in more depth. These sessions should be highly interactive and provide participants with clear take-a-ways. There are two available workshop session times.
Speed Sessions are 25-minutes in length and should provide participants with a “quick hit” on the topic. Examples of successful teaching practices, tool usage, or recommendations for action are good starting points for consideration.
Share your insights and strategies: Speaking proposals will be accepted through January 31, 2021.
