The Nebraska Research Initiative (NRI) is an investment by the State of Nebraska to provide a research base within the University of Nebraska to enhance economic growth in business and industry, agriculture, social services and health care.
NRI funding is focused on strengthening the University of Nebraska’s research capacity in areas impacting Nebraskans. These investments are designed so that researchers on all four campuses fully leverage multi-campus facilities and expertise to help develop knowledge that allows a better understanding of, and addresses issues associated with, the wide variety of complex systems found in nature and society.
