The Board of Regents is honored to present the KUDOS Award to Megan Telecky, Assistant Director of Facilities Management and Planning for the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
Megan joined the University of Nebraska at Kearney Facilities team in June of 2020 as the Business Manager. Through her leadership, dedication, and strong understanding of university operations, she was promoted to Assistant Director of Facilities in 2022.
She oversees a wide range of critical operations that keep the campus running smoothly. These include Service Desk operations, accounts payable and receivable, facilities payroll and record-keeping, Central Stores, purchasing, asset disposal and surplus inventory, Environmental Health and Safety, events and reservations, mail services, and motor pool operations.
Her important role in financial stewardship and her contributions to budgeting efforts help Facilities and the broader campus. She has also served on the Campus Budget Advisory Committee. In addition, she leads our campus sustainability efforts and education, guiding initiatives that support an environmentally responsible campus community.
Engaged in campus leadership and service, she is serving as a Staff Senate representative and as Chair of the Staff Senate Professional Development and Engagement Committee. She has been an active participant in both Leadership UNK and Leadership Kearney.
She notes that “her success is a direct reflection of the dedication, hard work and professionalism of her team, and they are essential to all she accomplishes.” Her impact extends beyond campus, as she has served as the Finance Committee Chair for Central Association of Physical Plant Administrators since November 2023.
Megan’s leadership, commitment to service, and contributions to the University of Nebraska at Kearney make her highly deserving of this recognition.
With Megan, are her husband, Brian Telecky and her supervisor, Director of Facilities Management and Planning, Michael Cremers. Please join me in thanking Megan for her exceptional contributions to UNK.
