The Board of Regents is pleased to present a KUDOS award to Randy Mattley, Communications Specialist for the College of Communication, Fine Arts and Media or C-FAM at the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
Abbie Syrek, Assistant Dean of C-FAM, says that “Randy's leadership in communications, marketing, and analytics has supported the college and it has elevated it. From strategic planning to hands-on execution, he infused the C-FAM 20th Anniversary year with vision, cohesion, and Maverick spirit. This year would not have been possible without him.”
She continues, “Randy led the development of a unified college-wide communications strategy encompassing 93 individual events. He played a leading role in conceptualizing and executing the year’s two flagship events: the C-FAM 20th Anniversary Opening and Closing Ceremonies, each drawing nearly 400 attendees. Randy handled this work with no additional staff and never compromised on quality.”
Randy’s commitment to UNO and C-FAM is also evident in the way he supports others.
“As a strategic thinker and tireless implementer, he centers his work on long-term student and alumni success. Randy is an innovator who combines visual artistry with analytical insight, Abbie adds, his contributions reflect not only outstanding service but an unwavering Maverick spirit.”
Randy’s guests include his wife, Kristi Mattley, a 1st grade teacher at Gretna Elementary; his daughter, Rachel Mattley, a Pediatric Nurse at Nebraska Medicine who was a 2019 UNO graduate and a 2020 UNMC graduate. Also with us are sons, Matthias Mattley, a Youth Pastor at Calvary Christian Church in Bellevue and Jared Mattley, a 2024 UNO Graduate, who is now a grad student at Clarkson School. No Brain Drain in this family.
Please help me thank Randy for his dedication to the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
