On behalf of the Board of Regents, I am honored to present the KUDOS Award to Anna Berg, Senior Workstation Support Associate for IT Client Services located on the UNO Campus.
Nominator Rebecca Norris says, “Anna has always gone above and beyond to assist me with tech support. Recently, she stepped in to field one work ticket but then succeeded in addressing a slew of additional issues, all accomplished with her efficient flare!”
Another reports, “Anna took the time to listen to my concerns and to understand the barriers prohibiting my ability to streamline workflow for my school and its students. You can imagine how frustrating it is to be rendered inactive by computer access problems.”
Again, it is said, “Anna not only addressed one IT ticket, but she also fielded a snowstorm of them that have plagued my work process. The effect is that she has enabled me to be a more effective agent of change.”
Anna does not simply come in and get the job done; she explains in layman’s terms, and that facilitates a better understanding. I feel empowered to move forward rather than being stalled by frustration with technology.
Discussing tech issues, Anna is patient and uses recent, relatable examples to help explain, but she never will divulge the identity of her examples. In this way, she is respectful and maintains integrity with others. She embodies calm resolve and a can-do attitude. She fielded multiple tech issues nearly simultaneously. She gets the job done, and she wears the Mav colors on her heart.
With us today are her mother, Maureen Berg, her fiancé Derek Tobler and Rebecca Norris. Please join me in thanking Anna for this recognition from the University of Nebraska Office of the President.
