The Board of Regents is pleased to present a KUDOS award to Sheila Stewart, Senior Financial Accountant in the Accounting Department at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
Sheila is our campus expert for our Enterprise Resource Planning system integrations with the state accounting system, accounts receivable, and reporting and monitoring Foundation funds.
Even more important than her function is her extraordinary manner of professionalism, collegiality, and commitment to a positive work environment while working to reduce misunderstandings and enhance overall workflow.
Her leadership qualities are evident in her mentorship of team members. Sheila is a very thorough, thoughtful, and patient teacher who continues to drive others to success. Through various local and system reorganizations, she’s become a campuswide go-to resource for straightforward solutions and always demonstrates a commitment to unwavering customer service.
Her openness to challenge and her thoughtful curiosity further elevate the department’s success. She’s a model colleague, supervisor, and servant leader who has earned the trust of her colleagues.
