Campus Forums
Campus listening sessions regarding the search for the next UNMC chancellor will take place on Thursday, March 5, at UNMC’s Omaha campus. All faculty, staff and students are welcome to attend the listening sessions, which will begin at 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. at Sorrell Center, Room 1005, on UNMC’s Omaha campus.
The sessions also will be available to the first 500 attendees on Zoom. Other smaller-group sessions with UNMC faculty, students, staff and others will take place throughout the day.
David Jackson, Ph.D., interim executive vice president and provost of the University of Nebraska System, will lead the listening sessions. Dr. Jackson will be joined by associates of the firm CarterBaldwin, which is assisting with the search.
Attendees will be able to share the characteristics they would like in UNMC’s next chancellor and Dr. Jackson will outline the process for naming the next chancellor – including the naming of a priority candidate and a required 30-day public vetting period for the priority candidate.
