ITS has upwards of 70 projects aligned to eleven top initiatives. Each initiative reflects our commitment to innovation, collaboration, and impact, driving progress for students, faculty, staff, and the broader Nebraska community.
Top NU ITS Projects: 2025-2026
Two major projects with important milestones were met in 2025-26. We look forward to completing these two important projects under the our Top Iniaitives in 2026-27.
Future Ready Cloud Collaboration Workspace
The NU System is unifying Microsoft 365 and Active Directories across UNK, UNL, UNO, and NUOP, migrating more than 166,000 accounts and 4 petabytes of data to boost collaboration, security, and future innovation.
Canvas Convergence
The Canvas Convergence project—an NU-wide effort led under the direction of Interim Executive Vice President and Provost Dr. David Jackson—transitions our multiple campus‑specific instances of Canvas into a single, unified environment streamlining how users access courses beginning in Fall 2026.
