Love your university? Join us March 4, 2026 to celebrate the University of Nebraska System's four campuses during our annual "I Love NU" Advocacy Day!
This year's celebration will start the day at the Cornhusker Hotel in the Arbor Room and end at the Nebraska State Capitol in Lincoln, from 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4th—more details are available below.

"I Love NU" Advocacy Day
You're invited to join us starting the day at the Cornhusker Hotel in the Arbor Room and ending at the Nebraska State Capitol on Wednesday, March 4th from 11:00 a.m-3:00 p.m. for an "I Love NU" Advocacy Day celebration! A full schedule is available to the right.
10:30 a.m. — Welcome & Check-In
The day begins at the Nebraska Cornhusker Hotel. Attendees will check in, receive materials, and connect with fellow NU advocates.
11:00 a.m. — Advocacy Engagement Activities
Participants will take part in interactive civic engagement activities in partnership with Civic Nebraska, including letter writing to senators, button making, voter registration and lookup, and other hands-on advocacy opportunities.
12:00 p.m. — Lunch & Program
Lunch will be provided, followed by remarks from NU leadership, campus representatives, and invited guests, including members of the Nebraska Legislature.
Afternoon at the Nebraska State Capitol
Participants will walk to the Capitol for a group photo and recognition from the legislative balcony. Remember to wear your campus colors! Following recognition, registered attendees will participate in pre-arranged meetings with state senators and legislative staff, deliver letters to senators’ offices, and take part in a guided Capitol tour.
