The Office of the General Counsel provides legal advice and counsel with respect to business transactions, including contracting issues and property matters.
Our office reviews, drafts, negotiates and enforces a wide variety of contracts involving the University. Attorneys work extensively with procurement and other administrative offices in managing contracting review processes, interpreting laws and regulations and advising on complex transactions.
Property and Construction
Attorneys in the Office of the General Counsel advise on issues relating to the construction, ownership, management and use of property and facilities. Our office handles all real property acquisitions, sales, leases, licenses/permits, easements and other real estate matters for the University. In addition, we provide legal guidance related to documents, disputes and legal requirements pertaining to all construction projects.DISCLAIMER
