Meet the Emerging Technologies Team
The Emerging Technologies team helps the institution explore, evaluate, and adopt innovative technologies that support teaching, learning, research, and operations. With expertise in artificial intelligence, automation, and other evolving digital tools, the team partners closely with campus stakeholders to identify opportunities, assess solutions, and encourage responsible use. Whether you're curious about new technologies, participating in a pilot, or looking for guidance on practical applications, the Emerging Technologies team is hear to help you navigate what's next.

Our Mission, Vision, and Values
Our goal within emerging technologies and NU ITS is to help advance AI initiatives across the NU system. Our primary task will focus on supporting individual departments and campuses, in addition to empowering faculty, staff, and students to turn ideas into action through exploring and piloting emerging technologies and new features within our enterprise AI tools. By building trusted partnerships and scalable processes across the system, we can position the university to excel at human-centered excellence. Our goal is to explore and identify potential options for enterprise AI tools that meet the growing demands of our faculty, staff, students, and researchers, and can be provided at scale for all faculty, staff, and students.
Ethics & Integrity
Most important, we approach all AI trainings, support, and use cases with ethics and integrity. We will always prioritize ethical integrations of AI and emerging technologies, with an emphasis on human-centered innovation.Key Partners
