Debra Fiala
Senior Associate General Counsel
Debra is Senior Associate General Counsel for the University of Nebraska. She is primarily responsible for providing legal support to the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Debra is a graduate of Nebraska Wesleyan University, Northwestern University Medical School, and the Loyola Chicago School of Law. Debra completed a pediatric residency and practiced pediatrics at the Children’s Memorial Hospital in Chicago. Prior to joining the Office of General Counsel in 2024, Debra practiced health care law in both private practice and at another academic medical center in the midwest.
