The University of Nebraska Board of Regents will meet at 9 a.m. on Monday, June 29, in the board room at Varner Hall, 3835 Holdrege St., in Lincoln. The meeting is open to the public and will be livestreamed at www.nebraska.edu.

In follow-up to the Resolution unanimously passed by the Regents during the June 18, 2026, meeting, the board will consider two primary topics related to the future governance structure of Nebraska Medicine: amended and restated bylaws, as well as amended and restated articles of incorporation.
The proposed actions would allow for the University of Nebraska to move forward with transitioning the governance of Nebraska Medicine. As of June 30, Clarkson Regional Health Services will have withdrawn and will no longer serve as a governing member of Nebraska Medicine. From July 1 through Oct. 1, individuals representing the Omaha Community Foundation will serve as half of the voting directors of the Nebraska Medicine governing board, as the OCF and NU work toward finalizing bylaws that would work toward recognizing the OCF as a governing member of Nebraska Medicine.
