NU BOARD OF REGENTS TO MEET JUNE 12

June 5, 2015

The University of Nebraska Board of Regents will meet Friday, June 12, 2015, at Varner Hall, 3835 Holdrege St. in Lincoln. Committee meetings will begin at 9:55 a.m. and the Board meeting begins at 1 p.m. All meetings are open to the public. Meetings also will be audio-streamed live at www.nebraska.edu.

Agenda items for the Board’s consideration include:

  • Establishment of the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at UNMC. (Addendum IX-A-1)
  • Creation of early childhood advocate, occupational safety professional, advanced occupational safety professional, professional sales, and supply chain management undergraduate certificates at the University of Nebraska at Kearney. (Addendums IX-A-2 through IX-A-6)
  • Merger of the College of Architecture and the Hixson-Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts to form the Hixson-Lied College of the Arts and Architecture at UNL, and a related resolution. (Addendum IX-A-9)
  • The 2015-16 operating budgets and tuition rates for 2015-16 and 2016-17 for the University of Nebraska and Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture. (Addendums IX-B-1 and IX-B-2)
  • Establishment and naming of the Don Clifton Strengths Institute in the College of Business Administration at UNL. (Addendum IX-B-5)
  • The program statement and budget for redevelopment of the fourth floor of the University of Nebraska State Museum Morrill Hall. (Addendum IX-B-6)
  • The purchase agreement of real estate and improvements from the Nebraska Book Company Inc., located at 1300 Q St. in Lincoln. (Addendum IX-B-7)
  • The program statement and budget for construction of a new building for the University Health Center at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln; the building will be combined with the Lincoln branch of the UNMC College of Nursing. (Addendum IX-B-15)
