University of Nebraska employees and their adult dependents ages 18 to 79 that are enrolled in the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska employee health insurance plan have access to a no-cost prediabetes and type 2 diabetes management program through Virta. Virta is a wellness program that can help reverse prediabetes and type 2 diabetes. You will have access to tools, equipment, and personnel for clinical engagement to assist in lowering A1C, losing weight and reducing the need for some diabetes medications.
